I also vomited up my sense of humor...and other graphic blog titles

So, I'm home sick right now, after having vomited up the entire contents of my digestive tract last night. No, I wasn't drunk, but thanks for asking.

Right now, I have some unexpected free time on my hands, while I'm waiting to see if I can keep the saltines down. I rather relish these middle of the week days off. Unexpected and, even if I'm sick, I have an extra 12 hours to use however I wish. The Trolls even got an extra day to use.

So, I've started journaling again, trying to clear a lot of the crap out of my head. There is a LOT of crap in my head. My mind chatters away at me constantly, like a tree full of monkeys. It gets noisy up in there. The journaling helps a great deal.

I want to get back to my life list and hammering that out. There's something extraordinarily gratifying about having goals and accomplishing them. Unfortunately, my adult onset ADD (self-diagnosed) keeps getting in my way. I've become quite the sewer lately. No, I don't know how, either.

Once I find the cable for my camera, I'll load up some new pictures of the paintings I've been working on, as well as my efforts at sketching without a pencil (a la Roz Stendahl...check her out. She's AMAZING!) then there's the garden (currently still in pots). I am utterly and completely amazed that I've been able to grow herbs and vegetables from SEEDS. Holla atcha girl!!

When our first harvest happens, I'll be throwing a harvest dinner party. Consider this your invitation.

In the mean time, between work and ADD, Ive been rather relishing my roll here. Well, relishing MOST of it. The fleas and endless piles of laundry I could do without. I think I took up sewing just so I wouldn't have to do laundry anymore, and making clothes is cheaper than buying them. Yet, I still haven't gotten around to fixing the hole in The Boyfriend's pants. Some home maker I am!

As much as I want to sit here and continue updating you about my very unexciting Life, I have few precious hours left to fill. I have the outline of a couple really kick ass blogs roughed out...about my battle of the little big flea and why freaks are better than normal people. Until then, I'm going to go sew. Or something.

Right now...

I am snuggled up on The Boyfriend's lap, enjoying the quiet companionship as we both individually surf the net.

...planning tons and tons of projects and...

...feeling very ADD about it all.

...feeling amazed and grateful as I explore the boundaries of my artistic comfort zone.

...I'm missing my babies but am thankful for the break.

...debating the wisdom of showering tonight and sleeping in in the morning or staying snuggled up with my beloved.

...I am considering kicking The Boyfriend in the head, for being a wise ass. (added after he called this entry creepy. Most people would find a post expounding their love SWEET, but not The Boyfriend. He has to be COMPLICATED...and annoying)

Thank you to SouleMama for the "right now..." topic

The Boyfriend is dreamy

We are on our way to the Bay Area Rennesaince Festival and The Boyfriend is in full pirate regalia.

This is one of the many reasons I love him.

It's not my academy award for best dramatic performance....

Though, after last Sunday, it probably should be (I'm sorry The Boyfriend).

The Boyfriend has decided that the best way to bond with The Trolls is through the long lost art of Lego building, and has endeavored to undertake the construction of a massive city of Legos.

...this is my contribution.

Also, we have yet to let The Trolls play with us.

Sunday reflections

I have been remiss in my blogging duties. Though the reasons for my absence - a combination of a lack of home Internet service (I love my iPad, but it makes blogging rather awkward), and the busy-ness of every day life, to name a couple - certainly make me feel better about my sporadic absence.

The fact is, I've been busy as all get out, but not because of moving or work or kid-related duties. No, I've been busy living a life I truly love. Most days I wake up and thank all the gods that I am right here, right now and am so in love with my life. Things are very, very good. Most of the time, I don't want to leave my house, because that would mean leaving the cocoon of this really beautiful life - even temporarily. I am perfectly content...no, more than content, HAPPY... to stay home and chill with The Boyfriend™ and The Trolls. My heart and life are filled with abundance and love, and I am so damn grateful.

So, I may be absent more often than not from this space fow now, but only because I am busy living and making art and doing Yoga. Maybe I'll pop in and do like SouleMama does and post a picture of what's going on and let you all free form the story.

In the mean time, though, I wish you all this kind of love, abundance and gratitude. I wish you all to feel this kind of fullness of the heart.

Spring has sprung in Florida, and so has my next attempt at growing my own vegetables and herbs. I've spent the day elbow deep in organic soil, plating all manner of medicinal herbs and edibles. It's been extraordinarily gratifying, in a back to earth, back to basics kind of way.

We've also been making strides toward transforming the back yard into a veritable Eden that we can enjoy throughout the summer (when the dulcet sounds of children playing "Hide & Go Kill" (their invention) doesn't interfere).

Suffice it to say that I am filled with an immense gratitude that is keeping me feeling full of light and love.

May you all be filled with light and gratitude.

Blessings!

Oh, wow...

It's been damn near a month since I posted last. Time flies when you're busy filling every last minute of it.

Breathe in...breathe out.... Keep breathing.

I am now officially all moved in with The Boyfriend™, and only have a few boxes left to go through. Somehow, and I have no idea how, I have turned into little Betty Homemaker, and loving every second of it. For now I'm loving it. Life is finding an easy rhythm again and I'm easing my way into it and matching my own timing to that of my new life.

As I unbury my art supplies and journals, I'm craving the return to the canvas and looking for inspiration again. I've been away for so long, that I'm going to have to ease back in to that.

All in all, I am very, very lucky. And I am very, very grateful.

I'm going to nestle in to bed, and enjoy the last night of my three day weekend, while finding some peace in thensound of the rain.
